While some workplace stress is normal, excessive stress can impact your physical and emotional health. Stress is a very personal experience in that the demands you feel exceed the potential you think you have for coping.

Finding ways to manage workplace stress isn’t about making huge changes or rethinking career ambitions, but rather about focusing on the one thing that’s always within your control, YOU.

For workers everywhere, the troubled economy is resulting in uncertainty, and higher levels of stress. Since job and workplace stress increase in times of economic crisis, it’s important to learn new and better ways of coping with the pressure.

The most important things about workplace stress is that it is not confined to the workplace, you will bring it home with you. This may be in the form of working from home, fatigue, worry or displaced anger. Over time stress will impact negatively in all areas of your life unless you make a change.
